For more than 30 years, Rich has helped individuals, families, business owners, and nonprofit organizations make informed financial decisions with confidence. As Co-Founder of Miller & Hurt Wealth Advisors, he provides personalized wealth management, investment management, retirement planning, and insurance planning, helping clients build, preserve, and enjoy their wealth while staying focused on what matters most.

Rich began his career with Legg Mason, Fidelity Investments, and MetLife Financial Services before establishing his independent practice in 2004. Known for his patient, approachable style, he has a gift for simplifying complex financial concepts and building lasting relationships based on trust, transparency, and personalized guidance. His clients appreciate his ability to see the bigger picture while never losing sight of the details that make every financial journey unique.

Rich is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^® professional and also holds the Chartered Special Needs Consultant^® (ChSNC^®) and Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow^® (LUTCF^®) designations, along with Series 7, 63, and 65 securities registrations. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, an MBA from the University of Baltimore, and a Certificate in Financial Planning from the Florida Institute of Technology.

Originally from Maryland, Rich has proudly called Brevard County home since 1998. He believes that giving back is an important part of building a stronger community and currently serves as Immediate Past Chairman of the Brevard Schools Foundation Board. Over the years, he has also supported organizations including Special Olympics, Brevard Public Schools' Partners in Education Program, and Restore Our Shores.

Outside the office, Rich and his wife, Barbara, a longtime educator, enjoy traveling, spending time on the water, and sharing great meals with family and friends.
